92NY announces a new cycle of the Dance Therapy Alternate Route Program, commencing in Summer 2024.
The Dance Therapy Alternate Route Program offers a unique pathway to access the dance therapy field. This intensive 3-week program will span three summers, providing comprehensive training to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a Dance/Movement Therapist. The program is specifically designed for students who possess a Master’s degree in mental health or a dance discipline or who are working towards such a degree, as the ADTA requires a Master’s degree for alternate route applicants who apply for Registration as a Dance/Movement Therapist. This program is not a preparation for the New York State Licensed Creative Arts Therapist. One cannot receive an NYS LCAT through a dance therapy alternate route program.
Applications for the Dance Therapy Alternate Route Program must be submitted by October 1, 2023.
