Food Drive Donations

Together with our friends at City Harvest, we are collecting kosher food to help feed families across New York City. Please bring any non-perishables such as canned tuna, peanut butter, beans, etc. with you to 92NY. We will have collection bins in our lobby, which you will pass on your way in. Let’s start the new year off with acts of kindness and Tzedakah. Thank you for your contributions!

May the ruach, the Hebrew word for breath, wind or spirit, of the High Holidays lift you up, awaken inspiration and bring renewed blessings for the coming year.”

Rabbi David Ingber
Senior Director for Jewish Life and Senior Director of the Bronfman Center

Judaism teaches that ruach, the Hebrew word for wind or spirit, is what animates all of life. Ruach is life itself. Awakening inspiration in ourselves means reanimating our lives with vitality, purpose, and spiritual significance. Awakening ruach, inspiration, is what the High Holidays is all about. Each year, our sacred calendar brings a month of reflection, renewal, and reconnection with one purpose, namely, to awaken us to the path of inspiration. As the shofar is sounded, we recognize that same life force — that same ruach which animates all of life — beckoning us to live more fully, love more courageously and act more justly.

Led by clergy team Rabbi Elka Abrahamson and music director Elana Arian, the services will provide us once again with extraordinary opportunities for reflection, self-assessment, prayers of gratitude, and time for memory.

Thanks to the Rabbi Peter Rubinstein Fund for the Jewish Future, we are pleased to be able to make subscriptions to all the services, together with tickets to individual services, available at affordable rates. Details are available here.
