About Us

On November 10, 2013, 92NY’s Gymnastics Studio in the Sky celebrated our Grand Opening alongside a few special guests: Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, Manhattan Borough President-elect Gale Brewer, New York Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney and 92NY’s resident GymStars team.

Olympic gold-medalist and captain of the legendary Fierce Five U.S. women’s gymnastics team, Aly Raisman, was on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, autographs and a Q&A, where she gave our GymStars an insight on what it’s like to be an Olympic athlete. Check out the video of the celebration:

Senior Director: Health Promotion, Wellness & Athletics

Katera has been an integral leader in 92NY’s athletics, health and wellness department for 10+ years. She works closely with organizations such as ACSM and American Council of Exercise as a Physical Activity in Public Health Specialist, Health Coach and Group Exercise and Subject Matter Specialist. Katera is the founder of 92NY’s Spark Your Health, developed in 2022, a health & wellness initiative which provides cutting edge health-related talks and programs to thousands of people all over the country and world. Katera also moderates talks with experts for select Spark Your Health talks. Katera provided expertise for the design, equipment and creation of hundreds of new programs for the Penthouse Gymnastics Studio in the Sky in 2013. Her mission is to connect children and adults to physical movement in a positive and joyful manner so it becomes a lifelong habit. Katera enjoys bringing positive psychology into her work at 92NY and writes children’s books and novels in her spare time.

Debbie Dolnansky, Birthday Party Coordinator, is entering her 34th year working at 92NY! Over the years at 92NY, she has led stretch and cardio classes to adults, gymnastics and art classes for young children, and has built up the children’s birthday party business at 92NY to its present success as well as being an instructor for so many of the parties. In the summers, Debbie puts on her beret and becomes the Art Director for the Fantastic Gymnastics Camp, planning the curriculum and teaching art to talented gymnasts ages 4–14. She also taught after school workshops in art, gymnastics and dance at the Nightingale Bamford School for 17 years. Debbie graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Speech & Communications and received her Master’s in Early Childhood Education at Hunter College. She now spends her full time energy continuing to expand the 92NY birthday party business. Debbie lives in Manhattan with her husband Frank Kunzier, their two daughters Emily – 17 and Olivia – 11 years, and their 2 crazy cats named Noodle and Pumpkin.

92NY Gymnastics Mission Statement:

92NY Gymnastics strives to create a strong foundation for children to participate in the developmental levels of the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic and Xcel Programs. We strive to give all young athletes a safe place to build self-confidence, self-discipline, dedication and pride that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. 92NY Gymnastics and Athletics gives each child a unique pathway to their goals while providing a well-rounded athletic experience that includes creating lasting memories.
